Projects
AI and Neurohumanities
This is a long-term project designed to create a network of AI applications for the humanities
Digital Stele
This project combined AI and digital technologies for the analysis and study of the Etruscan stele of Poggio Colla in Italy
LIDAR and Drones in Etruscan Archaeology
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology has revolutionized archaeology by providing detailed topographical maps of landscapes, revealing hidden structures and features beneath dense vegetation. This method, in conjunction with multispectral drones, was used to map and study several ancient cities in Italy
Ruinscapes and Neurocities
What does it mean to look at a ruin or an ancient artifact? The answers suggested by aesthetics and cognitive science have diverged. For many years aesthetics and cognitive science shared a similar attitude towards vision when accounting for the perceptual representation of the world and the ensuing aesthetic experience.
MFA Digital Etruscans
This project, in collaboration with the MFA of Boston, is aimed at the digital modeling and preservation of the Etruscan sarcophagi of the Tetnies family
